Filling his shoes on this comeback run is German drummer Anika Nilles, who looks [more than up](https://youtu.be/OOWM0O9tZGQ?ref=facevalueto.ca) for the impossible task. Positive scores swing in the direction of **Buy**, and negative scores swing towards **Wait** - Factors sum up to one score, which becomes the FaceValue Verdict: **Buy or Wait** --- ## The factors Here's everything pushing this presale up or down the FaceValue scale. ### First tour in 11 years +11 There's been over a decade of pent-up demand for the group. This alone moves many fans to buy early. ### Four dates, with room for more -6 More dates means more chances to score tickets. Scotiabank Arena's seating capacity for concerts with a west-end stage is 15,800, multiplied by 4 dates gives us 63,200 seats. That's roughly 25% more capacity than a single Rogers Centre date would allow. ### Added dates before any presale happened +7 Typically, when a concert sees dates added after the initial announcement, it'll happen during the first presale or a day after. In this case, two dates (August 11 + 13th) were added before anyone had a chance to buy tickets. This suggests a high level of demand. ### Prices are looking BRUTAL -9 The Amex presale is taking place as I write this, so I've had a chance to scope out ticket prices. Nosebleeds are $225, Upper Bowl are upwards of $500, Lower Bowl are $484-961, and floor... just forget about it, $807 at its lowest with VIP packages in the thousands. Many, many blue tickets are showing, two hours after the sale started, suggesting fans aren't ready to dish out that kind of maple. ### The shows are ten months out -10 For comeback tours, hype generally peaks at the moment of announcement. Given that the first dates are in LA during June, there is plenty of time for the buzz to settle. ### A fan-run covers event sold out Massey Hall in August +3 [RUSHFest Canada](https://rushfestcanada.ca/?ref=facevalueto.ca), a two-day tribute event, had resale in the hundreds in the days leading up to the event. Suffice to say, Torontonians have been itching for Rush. ### Production hold drops -5 Now I have no way to prove it, but I suspect that Ticketmaster uses [production hold](https://www.instagram.com/p/DLh%5FyAZMhZY/?ref=facevalueto.ca) ticket drops as an opportunity to dump tickets that they've previously held back (beyond ones that would typically be considered production holds). In my experience, tickets can be easier to grab during these drops, with some of these tickets remaining unsold even at showtime. Simply put, production hold drops are the resellers nightmare. This is one of your best shots to buy. --- My recommendation is **Wait**. How cheap did Rush tickets really get? This is how the sale period played out. First, a look at face value prices when tickets first went on sale in April. 🎟️ ****Rush — Scotiabank Arena** Aug 7, 9, 11, 13, 2026 Face value prices (fees included): ****Floor**: $458.25 – $961.16 ****100s**: $417.00 – $956.90 ****100s Side**: $173.00 – $631.45 ****300s**: $137.75 – $604.47 Prices for all four nights of Rush in Toronto were among the most expensive ever seen in Toronto, with seats in the lower bowl starting at a mouth-puckering $417.00\. As soon as I saw prices were starting this high, I knew it would be a Wait, all we had to do was play the waiting game, and boy did we ever... I had people tell me I was **doomed** for waiting and to just suck up and pay resale. We've waited Fifty Something years for Rush to come back, what's a few more months?! And though it came down to the wire, waiting **did** finally persevere! ![Rush Toronto ticket availability as of 8/7/26](https://storage.ghost.io/c/6e/0c/6e0cce82-0f24-4042-83ee-2fc19de95d7a/content/images/2026/08/image-14.png) 8/7 at 1:06pm On the early afternoon of Night 1's show, a batch of lower bowl tickets dropped for only $225.00 (-$192). These tickets were marked as Obstructed View, as the VIP platform by the mix was elevated, but that only seemed to be an issue with the first or second row closest to the ground. What happened to Sold Out?! This doesn't look sold out to me, I don't know about you. These are all tickets that Ticketmaster could have listed and sold to fans, but didn't in order to panic fans into buying resale. Floor seats here were listed at $406.75 (-$51.50), lower than face value, and for those seats halfway up the floor section, those would have originally been around $700, marking around a $300 discount vs. buying during the presale. ![Rush Toronto tickets going below face value](https://storage.ghost.io/c/6e/0c/6e0cce82-0f24-4042-83ee-2fc19de95d7a/content/images/2026/08/image-16.png) The lowest I saw Verified Resale go across all four dates And the same happened on all dates. Those were lower bowl seats sold for $233.25 – nearly half the price of the non-side-view lower bowl seats. Was that ticket half as good? Well, that's the exact ticket I bought.
