Their subsequent tour announcement tells a different story, though. Instead of arenas again, they're veering back to amphitheatres with a Toronto stop at RBC Amphitheatre. On paper, the scale looks similar. But the reality is that amps change the demand calculus for shows. Don't get it twisted, Muse are a proven major act with hundreds of sold-out arena and stadium shows under their belts. But they're far from their peak, and this tour sits in the dark matter between space: strong fanbase, mixed urgency. You have the hype of a well-timed new era and their live reputation on one side, and a venue downgrade and a crowded summer calendar on the other. They're a safe booking with a dedicated fanbase and substantial casual appeal. We can safely rule out the possibility of another [Empire of the Sun](https://facevalueto.ca/empire-of-the-sun-ask-that-god-afterlife-tour-2026/#presale-results) situation. ### Moving from arenas to amps lowers anticipation - While there isn't much of a change in capacity (Scotiabank Arena seats 13,000 and RBC Amp fits 16,000), there is a noticeable change in quality between arena and amphitheatre shows. Arena shows feel more like premium events, while the lawn and outdoor nature of amp shows give them more of a casual vibe. That vibe shift makes a big impact on fan excitement. There are numerous comments pointing out the implications of an amp show, ranging from limited stage production to the difference in GA pit sizes. ### Last show was a Wait - Their last performance at Scotiabank Arena with [Evanescence](https://facevalueto.ca/evanescence-world-tour-2026/) saw get-in prices drop as low as $50, and Evanescence in 2023 had way more pull than Bloc Party in 2026\. The venue selection is key here: capacity is increasing while the quality is decreasing. Floor tickets took a while to sell at a steep face value price of $320.50\. Now, only $605.10 VIP tickets show as available for floor. I expect floor to return on sale for $320.50 at some point and maybe even drop below that face value price. As for everything else, I'm seeing a lot of blue stripes which suggest to me that numerous rows are disabled. This is done to give off the appearance of a show selling out faster than it really is, creating a sense of urgency to pressure fans to buy. The verdict still stands that Muse at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto is a **Wait**. ## Post-Show Verdict **Added*: July 18th, 2026* Was the call right? How cheap did Muse tickets really get? This is how the sale period played out. First, a look at face value prices when tickets first went on sale in March. 🎟️ ****Muse β€” RBC Amphitheatre** Jul 18, 2026 Face value prices (fees included): ****General Admission Floor**: $320.50 ****200s**: $263.00 – $726.60 ****300s**: $127.50 – $270.60 ****400s**: $105.50 – $270.60 ****Lawn**: $83.50 ****VIP**: $605.10 – $910.20 Well, this one plummeted in price, but not for a reason anyone could have expected. On the morning of July 15th, the day of the concert, a thick haze of wildfire smoke coated Toronto, resulting in the city having the [worst air quality in the world](https://guelph.ctvnews.ca/toronto/weather/article/orange-haze-envelops-toronto-as-wildfire-smoke-expands-across-southern-ontario-live-updates-here/?ref=facevalueto.ca). The show ended up going on without a hitch, with a cheeky comment from Bloc Party's singer Kele Okereke: "*we're not going to let a little shitty air quality bring us down, are we?*" Ticketmaster gave fans the option to refund their tickets no-questions-asked by calling their support line. This lead to hundreds of tickets flooding back into inventory, with over 1,500 tickets still available by the time Muse took the stage. This made for a unique situation for resellers, who now had the chance to make away with their failed scalps Scott-free.
